Replacing Nitto Trail Grapplers with a used set????
Hey guys, I need your advice please.
I have a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers with 120K on them. I could not have asked for a better tire. So I bought the current set when my financial situation was different. It was ok to drop $325 a tire but not the case today. So I am in need of tires. My current pair have about 25% remaining on the front any maybe 35/45% on the back remaining.
I am interested in an exact used set on Craigs and need some advice to do it or not. They are 5 Nitto Trail Grapplers, 1 has 95% remaining, 2 have 65% and possibly plugged (they don't leak he said) and the other two have 30% remaining. He is asking $400 for the set.
I was thinking that I could pick the best 4 and have them mounted and balanced.
My driving has gone down to barely minimal. I now work from home and really only use the Jeep to pick up kids from football practice and that type of driving.
So I know the right answer is save up for new tires with the same tread life. Winter is coming and I am sure that I wont have a grand or more to drop on tires anytime soon. Should I negotiate to $300 or move on?
Thanks
