Replacing AEV front bumper
Hey guys i'm contemplating whether or not to sell my AEV front bumper. I want to change to more of a stubby for future plans of chopping fenders and eventually 37s. Does the cutting of the frame for the AEV affect how any other bumper may fit? If so, is there a way to fix it? Also, i have a winch installed already and am wondering if I would have to uninstall it or just mount the new stubby over it?

No you should not have any issues with your frame and any other bumper.
If you purchase a new bumper it would more than likely come with a new winch plate and you will want to use it.

How much of a stubby do you want? I have a shrockworks mid-width and I'd like to move to a full width to match up with fenders. Maybe we could trade. Just a thought...

Not Trying to Hi-Jack your thread
But I am contemplating the same thing and have a full width Rock Hard Winch Mount Bumper and am wanting to go to a stubby or midwidth style. The Rockhard is VERY stout 1/4" steel. I'm in the San Diego Area!

If you wanted you could just pull the face of the bumper, and only use the winch mount for a while (some people just got the winch mount when they were sold seperately). This way you can see if you like the idea of a stubby.
