Had the same reactions after I took my doors off. a lot of creative ways to do it.
Quadratec offer two of mirrors. One's an easy mount/wquick connect/disconnect on side windshield bracket. the other slips into the upper door hinge. both are around $60.

I've got the rugged ridge that mount on windshield brackets and would not recommend them. The inner sleeves that come with them to secure the mirror from moving due to wind is garbage in my opinion (used electrical tape) and it's almost impossible to see out of passenger side when doors are on. Like posted above, go with Harley mirrors, they are cheaper and much easier to adjust. The only reason mine are staying on for now is because I spent $60 on them. They get the job done but there are better solutions out there IMO....

I've got the brackets form Di-Tech Offroad. Not as cheap as the Harley mirrors but fit & work nicely

Where is everyone getting Harley mirrors that fit the JK?

From a member here, I know these fit but I don't care for the flames

I got this: //www.google.com/products/catalog?q=harley+mirror+round&hl=en&safe=active&bi w=1260&bih=863&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=3691608591007544658&sa=X&ei=TbnKTcHUM8zogQfw 5vneBQ&ved=0CGcQ8wIwBDgK#

And spray painted it black- I think a round mirror goes better with round headlights etc. but it doesn't provide much visibility. I picked up a fisheye stick-on mirror, but it is too distorted- someday I will find one that is not so "wide angle". Until then, I just look over my shoulder every lane change.
