Default Removing stock exhaust

Just ordered a new MBRP cat-back system. I've been under the Jeep and can't get the stock muffler out of the rubber bushings. The mound is like an arrow that goes in but doesn't come out.

Is there a trick to removing the muffler and pipes or do I just need I give it more muscle?

A lot of grease and large channel locks did it for me. Don't be gentle!

I used a pry bar on the rubber bushing and popped it off the hanger.
