Default Removing front brake bracket

I just watched a Teraflex video where they removed the metal bracket holding the break lines in the front. I am referring to the clamp bracket near the lower shock mount. If I only need roughly 3" more to keep my brake lines from being tight at full droop is this a good option or should I keep the line clamped in the bracket and get drop brackets for the mount further up in the wheel well?

There is no reason to keep the bracket. It's free to remove and a quick project. The easy way to remove them is to use a Dremel and cut the back side of the bracket. It will bend open with ease. If you don't, you'll yell profanity for an hour until you end them off.

Also, a drop bracket won't extend the speed sensor, so no sense in doing that.
