Default Removing a 1" Body Lift

Hi guys,

Got a unlimited with a M.O.R.E 1" body lift I want to remove. I have the bolts for stock mounts. Is it as simple loosen bolts on one side, jack up body, remove spacers, lower onto stock body mounts, insert bolts and tighten...repeat on opposite side?

Am I missing anything? Anybody done this? Should I remove them in a certain order?

Thanks

Yes, but you do have to remove the front bumper.

You don't have to remove the front bumper to install it, I don't see why you'd have to remove it to uninstall the bodylift. Do just that... loosen the bolts on one side, just it and remove the spacer!

Thanks Guys,

I read somewhere to disconnect the gas filler bezel and tube before moving the body. Do you think this is necessary with a 1" lower?

thanks

When I installed the 2" PA BL I had to remove the grill to get those two front ones

May I ask why you decided to remove the body lift? I have been trying to decide if I want to add one to my 08 X in addition to my teraflex leveling kit. Can you list the pros and cons of the body lift that made you decide to change it back?

I got a 6" RC lift on 37"s. with the 1" BL. When it's full of gear and family, it feels top heavy. I'm think without the BL it will feel more stable. I'm considering some wheel spacers also to widen the stance. Any thoughts

Thanks

Way too much lift for 37's IMO. I would definitely pull the body lift. Or just get some 40's...

Yeah. I think so too. 40s aren't in the cards. I think without the BL it will be ok on 37"s

Thx
