Move it. Metal or plastic, the less hanging down for rocks to bang into the better.

Also, if you use the Woods kit, you can also relocate the muffler, then install the larger storage cubbie.

If you relocate the muffler to where the Evap can was, aren't you back to square one? You will just smash up your muffler.

Default Move it, unless...

The only good reason that I've heard for putting a skid on it was a guy who wanted to keep his bumper-to-bumper warranty without any questions. Even though I've got the warranty too, I couldn't stand to see it hanging down there waiting for rocks to perform a cannister-ectomy.

Get Woods kit. It is great, the directions are good, it's a quick install and it is up where you don't ever have to worry about it again.

Relocate it, I have knocked mine off and if it was skided probably would have got hung up on the skid plate. I will be relocating mine before the JK Fest at Rausch Creek with the Kilby relocation kit.

I've got a skid. I had concerns with the relocation so I chose to protect it instead of move it.

Decided after reading several other threads that the Woods kit seems to be the way to go. Just ordered one, should have it tomorrow....

How long or difficult is the install. Any lessons learned???
