As indicated by your question, it sounds like you may be somewhat inexperienced about a gear swap. Nothing personal meant here, so please don't take it as such. Gear swaps are not intended for the weekend do it your selfer. Although you're correct that your parts are still very new and in good shape, there are some things that you cannot get around replacing anyway. By purchasing the entire install kit, you will get literally everything that you need to either do the job or get it done correctly. The bearings on the carrier for instance, while they are certainly in new condition still, it is next to impossible to press them off the carrier without damage. I have done it before, but it is something that I would never promise a customer that I could do. They just usually don't come off in one piece. That's why they are included in an install kit. Also, another good example is the crush sleeve. As indicated by it's name, when the pinion nut is torqued down, the sleeve crushes down to acheive the correct preload on the pinion bearings. Tapered roller bearings MUST have preload to run correctly, or they will burn up quickly. The crush sleeve MUST be replaced each time the pinion yoke or flange is removed, because it can only be crushed one time. Special tools such as a dial indicator and a pinion gear depth gage are also required to properly set gears up so that they wear correctly and do not make noise. Even for seasoned professionals, it is not a small job. My advice to you would be that unless you have a great deal of experience, take it to a professional and let them install your gears. Don't try to cut corners on parts. You'll be sorry. David, from Northridge 4X4 is a forum sponsor and will set you up with everything that you will need for a good gear installation. You will find he has a great reputation on here, and deservedly so. He is as good as they come. He is also a mechanic himself, not just a parts salesman, so you can be assured that he will not sell you something that you do not need. Again, don't take anything I said personally. I am only trying to help you get a good job done and not run into any trouble.

Hey Sleepy_Boy it seems you'll be installing your parts before me. I'm waiting till i reach 5000 kms to take it in for service & parts change, but I guess I'll have to wait more now & order the install kit too. Anyway, plz let me know how it goes with you.
