Regearing six speed
I got a hold of a good deal on some 35's and right now I have 3.21 gearing my plans in the future are to run 37's. My question is should I go with 4.88 for the 35's how would the crawl ability be later with 4.88 with 37s and with 4.88 would I be able to cruise on the highway at 70 mph at around 2200 with 37's?
Or should I go with 5.13s with 35's or would that just kill my mpgs with 35s I know it will be a beast off road with 35s and 5.13.
My JK is a DD and I would really like to be able to take it CA, and TX and be able to drive it there cruising at 70.
So question is will 4.88 be okay off road with 37s later on? Would the highway cruising Rpms be good with 4.88s and 37s?

6spd, 4.88's, 34" actual height tires = 2837 rpm @ 70 mph
6spd, 4.88's, 36" actual height tires = 2680 rpm @ 70 mph
With an auto and 37's, you would be down around 2200rpm
You'll be fine. If you want lower off-road gearing, look into a rubi tcase.

Another argument for the 4.88s - 5.13s in a D30 isn't a super strong combination. If you're wanting to play hard in the rocks, it may be a better ratio, but you'd probably want a PR44 to wrap around it.

x2 concerned about this the most
I know I'll be upgrading the front 30 to a 44 when later on when I need them on for the 37's. For the rear would I need to upgrade the 44 to a 60? I'm not going to be doing crazy rock crawling stuff most of the stuff I do is trails to medium difficult climbing like say sofa sized hill/banks to climb? But eventually it will be turned into a weekend rock rig maybe in 10 years lol.

Yeah I probably won't replace axles until I break them, I know I just got to take it easy on the skinny pedal with those size shoes.
