regearing question.
so my guy that threw on my 3.5" lift with 35's said not to go higher than 4:56 gears with the new motor and trans... anyone know why that might be? i would like to atleast push 4:88's... but if he has a good reason to then i dont want to not listen to him. thanks

between the new 3.6L and tranny, i might recommend running the factory 3.73 if that's what you have now. if you have the 3.21's, i too would recommend nothing higher than 4.56. 4.88 will get your rpm's running over 3,000 at highway speeds.

I have had my 2012 unlimited 6sp geared with 4.56's for about 6 months.. Absolutely think its the best combination. I'm running on 35's as well and it has more take off then the 3.21 with stock tires. I have no problem going up hill on the highway in 6th gear. Before with the 3.21's, I had to down shift with the stock 32's.. I thought I needed 4.88's from reading all the forums based on the 3.8l jk's but was talked out of by the guy who did my gearing.. Hope this helps!
