I have 35s manual 4.88 and going 37s next. 33 and 4.88 IMO is way too much. Get the 4.88 though and if you go 35 you will be good. I say stock gears with 33s . 4.56 or 4.88 with 35s. I am referring to a manual. I never had an auto jeep. Some ppl like to gear really low to off road on here and kills your top end if you want to go 75 mph as stated

Here is a worksheet I created similar to jpops but it shows various speeds with a gear size and tire size assuming you are in a automatic tranny running in OD. You could create the same for your situation.

You are going to get different opinions but I have 35s and 4.88. I am moving to 37s and keeping 4.88 gears soooo 33s and 4.88 seems like it's going to feel like lots lots of power! Don't expect to be going 75 with rpm really high which means gas mph is going to go down too. So are you 100 percent with 33's? If so what gears do you have now? 3.21 or 3.73 ? Either way I wouldn't even re gear with 33s. Save the $1500 bucks in my opinion. You will loose some low end power but not much with stock. I ran 3.73 gears with 35s for a year with a manual and it was fine. Also, elevations play a role. Oklahoma is flat soooo no need to climb going 7O mph

i have 3.21 right now. im almost certain i am going to stay with 33's. this is my daily, and if i do go wheeling chances are it will be fairly light trails. cant afford to break anything on big stuff. which is another reason why im sticking with 33's. i would rather have a very reliable and durable car on 33's
So get the 33s, keep stock gears and if needed re gear but seriouslg doubt you will. Get the flashpak to gain more power. That's it and enjoy! You won't have any problems

yes you're right. but i want to build mine from the ground up. im going to start out at 33's and build up my driveline enough so if i ever want to go 35's i can with less worries of things breaking on me. this means, driveshafts. D60 or d44 in the front. controlarms, etc. i guess this all sounds kind of excessive but we will see
