I was quoted 1,600.00 dollars and a 3 year in 36,000 mile warranty in Northern California.

Seems a tad high. I'm getting mine done in a month or so and the shop I go to in Tampa said 5:13 G2 or motive gears installed front and rear for 1100 +tax

It's a tad high but where they are also supplying the gears they might not have an amazing price on gears. Plus they would buffer for any other expenses such as bearings..

I'd see if they would let you supply your own parts. This is what I did when I regeared my tj.
