Regeared the 2 door- 4:10's-5.13's (6 Speed) Superior Axle..
I got my jeep back lastnight, I figure I would post, I havent heard of any two door guys regearing to 5:13's
My stock Gearing was 4:10''s with the 6 speed.
I'm now regeared to 5.13's. I can say It has alot more power. Its been 3 months since my tire upgrade, but it feels faster than stock. Its actually really fast.
My only goals were to get the acceleration back at highway speeds and to be able to use cruise control again. I got that back and then some at highway speeds, (70-75mpm)
My only concerns was the RPM's at cruising speed, which for me is about 75 mph on the highway. Its a bit higher than I like. at 75 mph. its sitting aroudn 3,000 RPMS, Which actually isnt that bad.
It'll be perfect when I upgrade to 37's down the road, But its definetly liveable. I cant thank my mechanic enough, he did a good job and was very helpful and gear selection.

Thanks for the info. Just to clarify, are you seeing the 3000rpm at true 75mph or at what your (incorrect) speedo is showing to be 75?
Also, for the guys that are running 4.88 with 6-spd and 35's, what rpm's are you running at true 75mph?

Hey Piginajeep, glad to hear you went 5.13's. Hell of a lot more power than stock if you ask me and the RPM's may be a bit high but as you said, not that bad... maybe a couple hundred at most.
Now all you've gotta do is find an excuse to get up on 37's
