I really notice trying to start with my skis which is right around the 3500lb mark.

As far a driving on the freeway with a lifted Jeep and bigger tires, I experience no vibrations and I have taken it up to 90mph. I have had to get my tires balanced after my first rotation and since then they have been great. Road force balancing made a huge difference. I might be crazy I don't know, but I do 80 every day on my way to work and its fine, sure the wind will push you around a little, but not enough to cause steering issues.
Our JKU Rubi definitely does better at speed. No real issues, but 80 is definitely starting to push it hard.

It's the lifted 2-door that doesn't feel planted at high speed. Short wheelbase, high ground clearance, big tires just makes it feel like a mess. We get gusting winds that can blow it almost half a lane, the kind of winds that get up under the hood and make it flutter around even with the stronger latches.

Anyway, didn't mean to jack the thread. Just seems weird that so many people attest to comfortably doing high speeds in these things, although the JKU is much longer.

Nah its cool. I could definitely see the high speed issue with the 2door. It honestly handles highway speeds much better with the bigger tires and lift than it did stock. There was a stretch of highway that when I hit this one bump it would kick off cruise control after the lift it no longer does it. I am waiting to hear some reviews on the steering damper that kjeeper10 posted about on another forum.

OK back to the topic now.

2015 Manual Rubi 4.10 ratio with 34"'s , 3.5" lift, Hardtop, Winch, Bumper... runs good on Hwy, unless climbing higher passes in Rockies. With the added weight, anything over 7K ft elevation and 5% grade you'll likely need to grab 4th gear and mileage suffers. Flat stuff is 6th gear and ~18mpg between 70-75 mph.

That thing that comes out of the floor, it was meant to be used as needed. I don't know what the problem is with grabbing 4th or even 3rd to keep the revs up as needed. Why do people expect these things to be able to tow uphill at 90 mph in 6th gear? Just row it into a lower gear. Or get an LS or Hemi swap.

I have an auto, but I kinda wish i had a 6 speed. I am not worried about highway shifting to go up hill. Do I want my RPM to be 3k while doing 80, No but when I move up to 35s I want to be able to tow my jetskis still and not lug the engine.

Ok missed the fact that you have an auto. Makes a big difference.

Just for reference, 3.6 auto with 3.73s running 35s, today on the highway (flat, no hills) I was running 73 MPH and my RPMs were 2300. I don't run the highway often so watched closely to see what the RPMs were. I am planning on regearing to 4.56 in the future. But it's the usual if you're going to regear you might as well get lockers at the same time and well chromolys too and then the should I do all that to a D30 or upgrade to D44 and then it's really a D44?, should be a D60 yada, yada, yada. You get the idea.

My jeep doesn't see that action I want truetracs front and rear and thus might as well regear, but my tires have tons of tread at 18000 miles hense the question about 33s and 4.56.

How have the BR6 brakes been working?
I saw dynatrac just came out with front and rear upgrades for $1k.

Damn jeep is almost as bad as my house.

Give it time, it will get worse than your house.

No issues with the BR6s. Love them actually. I have no doubt I'll be able to stop my Jeep in an emergency situation. Haven't seen the Dynatracs, but if it involves bigger rotors and/or more caliper pistons it should be good.
