If its possible to get $1500-$2000 for the axle then that might sway me to the ProRock. If we're talking about 500 bucks or something then I'll probably just regear the d30 and wheel it til it snaps.
It probably depends on where you live but watching Craigslist around here (north Florida) they are closer to $500 than $1,500. I've seen matched front / rear D44/D30 sets for under $600, less the brake assemblies.

I run a stock d30 3.73,and I added a lock right.I have the c gussets, and rugged ridge diff cover and run 34s. I plan on just keeping the 30 going till a cheaper alt comes along. Ill plan my regear then, but so far knock on wood(my head)I`ts done everything I`ve asked out of it.Next for me is a detroit locker for the rear.

Default Front Rubi 44

I keep seeing references to $1500 front Dana 44's but cannot locate anyone who is selling them for less than $2500.

Who sells them for $1500?

Back a few years ago, you could buy brand new rubi44 fronts for $1600. They raised the price to $3000, so all of the 'used' fronts went up as well.

Keep watching the for sale section, and craigslist/ebay. When you find a good deal, be prepared to put money down on the spot, as it won't last long...
