Used is the way to get quality and keep the cost down. I would highly recommend getting a factory top or Best Top (factory tops at a reasonable price - I don't exactly know their relationship with jeep, but they either make, design or both the tops for jeep). If you get used, make sure you get the 4 screws that mount it to frame/mount. Often i have seen tops for sale that don't have those screws.
A good softtop doesn't leak unless under a lot of water pressure (carwash, etc).
