Default recommendations on new project

I recently decided that I want to beef up the durability of my jeep. I have an 07 two door X. I don't want to lift up the jeep but I want to thicken up and strengthen up any part of the suspension or steering or anything else that will make it more practical for abuse. I may lift in the future but for now I just want durability. I would appreciate any ideas or recommendations you may have. Thanks!

oil pan armor, rocker side protection, bumpers would be a great start. Best part of Jeeps is the never ending addition of parts

Alright, so I was looking at a full set of Rock Hard 4x4 Skids...any reviews for these? Also, what can I do to the tie rod or any other suspension or steering components?
