Default recommendation for a back bumper

Need some recommendations for a back bumper
Criteria: Not to costly
doesn't rattle on wash board roads
not to heavy
comes with or can add a tire swing
can add other stuff later like jack mount, shovel, water and gas cans

what works for you guys Only planning on having a third five inch tire on it.

Whats the budget? Not too costly to me means anything not AEV lol Actually I think RR is out to lunch with their bumper pricing too, especially on their XHD aluminum set ups. $900 bucks for 2 pods in the rear what a joke! I can get those custom fabbed out of thin gauge stainless for the cost of materials and a 6 pack.

I have no affiliation to ACE products but look them up, they have some slick bumpers in steel and aluminum, steel starting the $500 range. Rear steel with carrier is 190lbs and $900 if I recall? $515 and 130lbs with no carrier I think. Compare that to what RR gives with the pods I mentioned and its a no brainer that the ACE product is far superior even if it weighs in at 150lbs more. Plus you can order with or without integraded LED light provisions for no extra cost from ACE.

I really like their Aluminum rear bumper, 30lbs but no shackle mounts or provisions for tire carrier.

PSP makes some nice products, pricing is ok, more than ACE, but can get fairly costly when having to look at getting the items powder coated to complete the look since PSP ships raw unfinished material. Alternative is use bedliner and spray it down to finish the product yourself, depends if you like that type of look or not on your rig.

There are some carries you can add regardless of bumper that you choose that will accomplish what you want, like the BT carrier is one if I recall. But its also close $1000 on its own.

Good luck!

Check out JCR Offroad. I can vouch for the quality of their products and great fitment. I have the OR Fab Tire Carrier but if I were looking for a bumper-mounted carrier, I'd buy from JCR. The sliders I have from them are top notch.

I'm very pleased with my MetalCloak rear bumper and tire carrier.

You get what ya pay for. A number of posts moan of squeaks and rattles on lesser brands. Save up the money and go with a decent recommend rear, or buy one used for ~50%. I have an Expedition One rear, highly recommended.

LOD makes great stuff. I have their Midwidth front bumper, but I went Warn in the rear cause I needed to retain my hitch receiver.
The Warn is a solid bumper with no rattles and it meets all your criteria except maybe price.

ACE weighs a metric crap ton (and had been known to have weld failures). Metalcloak is bad a##, but the price reflects it.

LoD makes seriously good stuff. Reasonable price. However, when it comes to rear bumper/carrier, they win in my view. The new gen 4 uses high strength steel, which results in a stronger bumper with less weight. Where ACE is 190 lbs, LoD is just over 110 lbs.

Relative to most, I beat the complete crap out of my parts. Rocks have no mercy. I've come down to two companies that deliver on product AND customer service. LoD and Metalcloak. Well, synergy too, but they don't make bumpers
