Default Reccomend me an aggresive 35" MT

I was set on mud grapplers in 35x12.5x18 to fit my factory sahara rims. Im still liking them for the price. Im second geussing my choice after hearing them howl in a few youtube videos. Im looking for an aggressive tire thats good for slick snot like mud and slippery shale rock and loose gravel climbs.

The BFG KM2s have no siping so theyre down my list a little ways. Truxxus MTs are my next choice but are like 60$ more a tire. I have no interest in the MTR kevlars after hearing the problems people are having balancing them.

Edit, the nitto howling isnt a deal breaker for me. Its just a reason to reconsider and see what else is out there again.

I've seen and been part of some threads on the MTRs with Kevlar, and I don't think the balancing issues has been much different than a lot of other tires. They do take a lot of weight as compared to what my Toyos did, but so do most tires and the Toyos seem to be top of the list as far as ease of balancing.

I wouldn't give a wholehearted endorsement of the MTRs, but from what you described they would be a very good fit. I would stay away from the 35x12.5x17s as in my opinion, they are just too light of a tire. Tall skinny is the way you want to go for the type of mud you are describing as with a tire that floats on top of it is going to get you stuck.

Yea I slide with 10 inch wide tires so I can't go narrower. I'm going to try putting as much footprint down as I can. I live in really odd terrain with all our ground being reclaimed seabed. We have tried a bunch of tire configurations and the best we found is aggressive tread and a wide footprint.

I have the TOYO MT's and love them. They are quiet on the road and work great on the dirt and rocks. I will buy them again. I want to get 37's next time.

Should look at the Cooper STT's Similar tread as the Toyo M/T, much lighter weight, little cheaper and are just as quiet and have been great in the mud, rocks and snow but crap on ice for my JKU. 60K km's and still have over 1/2 the tread left.
