I've done the search thing with every kind of entry having to do with a rear bumper that has an option for a winch, and found next to nothing, so I thought I'd throw it open to see if anyone has any info on such.

I'd like to have a swing-away tire carrier as well, and ideal would be one that in integrated with the rear door opening and closing, lol. I know, I don't want much.

Anyway, just looking for info on a rear winch bumer at least.

We use a removable winch basket that slides into the 2" receiver with an 8K or 9K winch (not brand specific). The carrier and winch can be left in the receiver or stored in the back of the Jeep. I have use these removable carriers for years with great success on my larger trucks. You can also rig multiple vehicles for the winch and when not in use, takes that additional weight off your jeep.

 

I have the Red Rock Fab rear tire carrier that has the winch option. They don't make them anymore, but I am considering selling the one I have.

I have a Jeeperman rear bumper with tire carrier. It has a setup for a rear winch.

 

I'm a bit late to the party, I know.

Benchmark and Olympic (rear Smuggler) come to mind.

I have the Smuggler. It could be a better design aesthetically, but it works well.

 

^^ I want that bumper!!! I want to be able to go mudding solo sometimes so a rear winch would allow me to do that.

 

TnT Customs sells a couple versions rear winch bumpers---a full size and a mid size. They made a stubby for me too.

 

If you carry enough snatch blocks and extra line you dont really need a rear winch. I also carry a come-along hand winch if there is no other way that works fine for as many times as I get stuck alone and have to to back instead of forward.
