Anyone knows if that Olympic rear bumper fit's a Warn XD9000? The specs say "recommended for Mile Marker PEC8".

Alone, in a group, it doesn't matter up here when your stuck and there is no traction you could have 100 trucks tied on to you if someone doesnt have a winch your stuck in the muskeg and alot of times you are comming out of the tree line and all of a sudden you sink and your stuck with only a field of muskeg ahead of you.

JEEPTHRILLS- I too am going to put a winch on the back but I think I am going to just get a cheap superwinch that fits into the reciever hitch..... canadian tire 8000lb winches always go on sale for 300 bucks and a buddy has one and it works good. I am kinda worried that I wont be able to get to the reciever hitch in all cases but digging to the hitch to hook up a winch is better than not having any options at all.

Between a brother (or sister) Jeeper, Pull-Pal, tree saver, trucker chain and my front winch, I'm 100% confident I will never find myself in a position that a rear winch is the difference between going home and leaving my rig arse in the air in a stinking mudhole. Dirt is for worms anyway, give me rocks or give me death.

if you say so. all i can say is that i have wheeled in a lot of different terrain and have have recovered many vehicles including two 1-ton pickups stuck deep in the mud and without any trees around. it wasn't easy and it did take a lot of work and some knowhow but to suggest that a rear winch was the only way to it... well, i guess that's just a matter of opinion. also, most everyone that i go wheelin with has a winch and the few that don't, we always make sure to place them in between ones that do. but again, that's just me.

Or decide that you can make it across the bottom of a suposedly dry lake bed. Yeah hooke the winch to my buddies truck started dragging him in then hooked another truck up behind him and broke my winch cable. 5 hours later 80 bucks to the crazy cool tow truck driver I was winched out from my rear. if I were to have a mich on the back or one that could mount to the rear hitch I would have been out earlier to wheel more.

I do have pictures however they are on my myspace page. I will try to post sometime with them when given the opertunity as the internet really stinks here in Iraq

I'll be putting a winch in the rear, but mostly because....... I just like it, as said before, I don't think is that necessary if you don't wheel alone.

it is a custom job, the way dildo and his friends wheel, they need a rear winch, in their case is a very good option.
