the more i think about it, i'm an idiot. sorry for wasting a thread away guys. lol i check the freebies and for sale section all the time but it seems tow hooks are snatched up in 5 minutes. i'm still keeping an eye out, and i'm just gonna do easy stuff so i don't have to get towed out of anywhere. this was my mistake thread of the month sorry guys

I have the 08 factory tow hook you can have. It only has one bolt with it though. You would have to buy the other two. Just pay for shipping and its yours.

If you have the tow hitch, you can go to harbor freight and get a hook for around $15. Other than the fact that you occasionally drag it while dropping off of rocks, it works OK to pull you out when needed.

Looks perfect! Perfect for killing someone when the bolt snaps. I don't mean to be a jerk, but use your head! If you really do think this would be OK, I hate to say it, but pay someone to work on your Jeep in the future.

If nothin else it gives you a great exuse to get a rear bumper with shackle mounts

And THIS... is my solution! Once it comes in, I'll have a hitch mount tow hook for sale cheap!
