Default Rear tire carrier question

What are my options for my spare tire. I have read on here that the stock tire carrier wont support the weight of a 35 or a 37. Im trying to go the cheapest way possible or just run without my spare and hope for the best.Im putting on a 37/12.50/17's. Will the stock carrier support a 35 better than a 37? I have not spent any money on my 37's so far its gonna cost me like nine hundred plus dollars to buy 3 more of the tires I have for that price I can buy 35's im needing some advice????HELP???

You can fit a 35 on the stock tire carrier but with a 37 you need to puchase an after market carrier. You can fine inexpensive tire carriers all over the place. I'm in the same position as you, so I've been looking at the rugged ridge bumper and carrier.

Yes, you can fit 35s on the carrier, but that doesn't mean you will want to. I would say most people (including myself) with 35s or bigger have damaged their tailgates...even with little to no wheelin. If you plan on going with 35s or bigger you should start saving for a rear bumper with a tire carrier because you will most likely need it in a few months.

My tailgate is already damaged from someone who thought they could use my spare as a cushion to park .. So to avoid something like that I definitely do recommend getting a tire carrier. In the long run it will be well worth it.
