Default Rear tire carrier and brake light

Thursday I'm getting 315/70R17 put on the jeep. Anyone have that and it do ok stock? Ive seen people with it but don't know long term if it was ok? Anyone?

The light will still be visible. You may need new bump stops if it rattles. The new wheel/tire will be too heavy for the stock mount. You should think of a carrier at some point.

I've had a 315/70R17 BFG All Terrain as a spare on the stock mount for almost 4 years now. So far, I have not had any issues. No rattles, gate closes fine, and have not noticed any bowing in the gate. The vast majority of driving has been highway. So far, none of the off roading has damaged it.

That being said, I am probably going to purchase the new Teraflex carrier when it is released.

I just installed 315/70/17 BFG AT for a spare on mine. It was a tight fit and I dont think would have fit well if the spare wasnt a little worn around the edges. Sits nice on the rear bumper cut-out on my stock bumper. No rattles or issues yet.
