rear tailgate hardware, duster deck cover
So I got the duster deck cover and then realized that I need the rear tailgate hardware to make it fit appropriately(I only have a hard top, not dual top) Can someone show me what exactly that looks like or if it is easy to put onto my tailgate. I imagine that this is hardware that is pretty easily transferable.
Thanks

The parts needed are 55395757AC Tailgate bar, 55395761AB Tailgate bar retainer left and 5539576AB tailgate bar retainer right. The bar retainers just clip on over the rear tailgate area and the bar pops right in.
ETA: Photos. The dirt is mine and shouldn't come on your new parts.
The left retainer.
Bar installed.

The retainers IMO need to be redesigned as they always popped right off and I eventually got rid of them after a week when I bought my JK but I really haven't needed them so I never re-ordered them.

Soft Top Fix--HOTDAM 4 cents FIX
Has some one else had the same problem I have had with my soft top, with the tailgate bar retainers. The bar retainers that ( just clip, or slide on) over the tailgate area to hold the bar on have never from day one have stayed inplace after sliping the last part of the soft top in place, thay would pop off and there for the soft top would not clear the tailgate. So I fixed it, 3 Min and the 4 selftapping screws. The screws cost not one penny( If u work on one of the thousands of job sites out there in Vancouver) The wife has the Jeep to day so no pic till later but its not to hard. Pull the soft top off and back a bit to give ya working room, the plastic retainers have 3 small indents put the screw to it and slowly drill in to your NEW Jeep. Set the drill chuck on 4-6 ( dont want to crack the plastic) This works like a "HOTDAM"
