I have not on the JK.

I dumped it in my '94 ZJ and it did not change the handling characteristics at all. I had fairly stiff rancho shocks and V8 front springs moved to the rear. This made the rear suspension more firm and IMO made up for no rear sway.

Same thing with my WJ. I had a front and rear Adcco sway bars. Rear bolt on the link snapped in Montana do I pulled it. I never put it back. Handled the same which I again chalk up to the firmer Old Man Emu HD springs and gas charged shocks.

It was smoother when turning into driveways and felt just as stable off camber.

Like CerOf, I haven't done it on a JK. However, on my 98 Blazer I ripped the rear sway bar off in Uwharrie several months ago. I didn't really feel a difference. Just this past week I finally got the parts to put it back together, and I noticed a huge difference. My drive to work is a 2 lane 55mph road, and it feels so much more solid going around the curves with it back on. YMMV

I removed my rear because my links where hitting my tires. It rides on the road better, however I do notice more roll, less stability and more ESP alerts. Removal of the rear sway will cause more oversteer. So I dont recommend it, they are put on for a reason. So My suggestion is to leave it attached. It makes for a more neutral handling of the Jeep. The rear swaybar doesnt impact flex enough off road to remove it like the front does. As another poster stated some states dont allow you to remove them for reasons. As for removing both = youtube/break.come fail.. just idoitic.

your rear sway bar adds stability to your vehicle both on and off road and is so soft that it WILL NOT prevent you from achieving maximum flex. trust me, i still run a factory rear sway bar with coil overs and my limiting straps are the only thing that prevent me from getting more droop. there is no need to remove it and i personally would not recommend it.

It eliminates the rear trackbar and keep the axle centered. It does not remove the Swaybar. We make a rear Heavy Duty Swaybar to help eliminate body roll. I ran both (CRC and the HD swaybar) on my 2 door JK.
