Question Rear Shock Mounts

Hi all...

So last week i installed the SkyJacker 2" budget boost and used the supplied bar pin studs to secure the rear upper shock mounts. the next day, the bushings were completely disintegrated. i went to Q-tec... a 30 min drive... and bought http://www.quadratec.com/products/16315_627.htm artie was nice enough to replace the bushings for me.

my question is this... do i need the metal "sleeves" that go thru the bushings, like in the lower busing?

help a noob out?
