Default Rear seat belt help

I'm getting line-x put into my jeep next week and need to strip the tub so I can get a cheaper price. The carpet seems easy enough to take out but I'm having problems taking out the rear seat belts. How do you go about taking them out?

I had hell with mine. Takes a metric torx. I used standard torkx and sheared out the torx teeth . Had to weld a 9/16 nut on the end and use an impact since they are locktighted in place. I went to fastenall and got replacement fine threaded shouldered bolts with a regular head on them i think it was 15mm but cant remember. Had to buy a bag of ten.

Were i to do it over again i would just leave them be and cover them up so as not to get bedliner on them. Was not worth all the mess of fixing the removal.

What year Jeep do you have?

I have a 2011. I believe I used an 18mm socket (no torx) and breaker bar.

Tried using just a ratchet at first, but had to go to the breaker bar.

Good luck.
