I'm considering a plate relocation as well and thought I'd go ahead and get linked up to this thread.

How about Or-Fabs license plate mount?

http://www.orfab.com/details.php?App...KET&Active=Yes

I used that along with the ORO license plate/3rd brake light and it works perfect.

I used to have that carrier and mounted mine to the T bar. I drilled two holes in the bar, put a bolt in facing rearward with a flanged nut on backwards so the license plate had a flat place to sit, and used wing nuts to hold the plate. Wing nuts were in case I had to use the spare, ease of use. I wired a light to it but I can't remember what brand, and used a quick disconnect for the wires . Worked great and not bulky! And easy to remove if you need the spare.
