Default rear driveshaft at the Tcase seal question

So, on the transfer case there's a rubber seal that's perpendicular to the machined end of the yoke on my tatton shaft I'm putting in. Doesn't seem like there's anything on the tatton yoke to meet up with the rubber seal on the transfer case. On the stock flange, there's a thin metal piece that met with the seal on the old flange. That thing didn't seem like it wanted to come off without getting bent. Do I need to install this thing on my new yoke or will the silicone in the splines and behind the nut be enough to keep the fluid from leaking?

anyone else who installed a tatton shaft or similar yoke have experience with this?

Just install the new yoke, dust cover not needed off the stocker.

My yoke just squishes into that rubber seal. Thousands of miles, no leaks.
