Default Rear driveshaft play help!

Hey all, I've had a coast 1350 driveshaft on my rig for the past 3 years or so and just recently it's started making a clicking noise under acceleration and when I took a look under it seems the adapter plates are hitting the gas tank on both the upper and lower and of the shaft. Any ideas why there is so much movement? Bad u-joints?

Thanks for the help!
