Bad idea, too soft, not good for protection.

I like the poison spiders or the Riddlers (they are the same). I gave mine a custom paint job and I have no rusting. I have hit them on rocks and they just slide off do to the smoothness of them.

ARBx25. Can't be happier with these. Lubelockers are a must no matter what you get!

Thanks all, I guess aluminum is out then. Sounds like ARB of I can swing it or whatever else Dave has at an affordable price.
Thanks again all!

I can attest to the lack of durability with aluminum. I have G2s from a package deal with gears and just found the rear one has a V shaped wedge broken off at the upper third. No damage from a hit is obvious. My off roading is ocassional graded dirt roads with a few rocks that I avoid. Don't know how it happened as there is no evidence but it is wasted.

Another vote for the Poison Spyder (or Riddler - they're the same) bombshells.

My 2C's, I would never use an aluminum diff cover. Thats a catastrophic problem waiting to happen if you like rocks. As far as ARB is concerned, they're pretty, but the "edgy" design is asking to get hung up on stuff.

I've always like Riddler diff covers. They have a nice design and wont get hung up.

x2 on the riddlers. I have them and I am really happy I went with them. for buying both of them form Northridge4x4 it was $120 cheaper and they perform the same.

If your looking for something strong you need to be looking at plate steel instead of alu. or "ductile steel" (cast I believe). Go check out Ruff Stuff. If you don't your going to buy something inferior and more expensive. 3/8 plate steel is WAY stronger than anything else proposed on this thread. I paid around $110 for mine.
