Default Rear bumper that fills the gap

So, I'm looking for a rear bumper, or bumper mod that fills in the gap between the tailgate and the bumper while still providing decent protection. Brut4ce made his rear, and if there was anything similar to that, I'd probably jump on it.. any help is appreciated.. I've been looking around but haven't found a thread talking about filling the gap. Thanks in advance.

I emailed a company a while back about moving a bumper in closer to close some of that and they said they didn't recommend due to body flex?

Really? I couldn't imagine that body flex could be that bad.. it doesn't have to sit all the way flush, just want it filed in... maybe with some kind of soft plastic insert. Idk.. was thinking if painting it back to give the illusion of it disappearing

Default Rear bumper that fills the gap

Me either. Not sure I ask the same thing you are though. I emailed Poison Spyder about the rear BFH bumper to see if I could cut more frame rail than they tell you to so that the bumper would be more flush with tub. Answer was not recommended incase of flex.

Right, bumper is frame mounted. Body mounts to frame are designed to flex, so there needs to be a gap there to prevent contact.

I think there was a thread linked from the "free/cheap mods" thread that addressed moving the stock bumper up an inch or so. Don't quote me on that, but you may find something there.

It's not flush but pretty close, GenRight rear.
