Default Rear bumper fascia, frame cover

Has anyone removed their rear bumper and fabricated their own metal cover similar to the one offered by EVO? I really like this look, but $189 seems like a lot, especially if I can make it myself. I will get those frame mounted d ring mounts, those things are badass

Pics if you can

My feelings exactly. I have an idea of what I want to do, just looking to see what others have done. I think I will mock something up with cardboard or plywood and see how it looks. The thing I am most concerned about is the top, I cannot find any pics of the fascia from the top, how is it profiled to the body?

Default i kinda like that too , but maybe its for the people

that have strict regulations about bumpers . I know N.H is pretty hard on rules of bumpers being on dot
otherwise I think id take mine off and do the evo kit
It wont get by a inspection though , unless you know someone who might let it go .

Ok, I decided to fab one. I used a metal building girt as that's what I had available, it was free and it also had the 90 degree bend already.

It took me about 1.5 hrs to cut it down to what I needed. I have a hitch, so I decided to cover the bracket as opposed to cutting around it. That way I could use the hitch bolts to secure the fascia. I also drilled two holes on the top of the frame at the ends and have as bolts to hold it tight. This is what it looks like mocked up.

It seems like it might be pretty easy to use a piece of angle aluminum.
