Try our independent 3 Link Rear conversion! That will open up the rear articulation for sure!

hmm
teraflex 3". Its not touching my bumpstops unless the whole weight of the jeep is on the rear like that photo of me going forward on the rti.

I think the suspension is doing it's job after seeing the Jeep on the ramp in the front. The rear end is subatantially lighter than the front. I wouldn't expect full stuffage.......or probably a better way to put it is you ARE getting full stuffage for the situation. Know what I mean?

and I agree, but what I am wanting is compression without the entire wight of the Jeep on the rear. I think I may try to find some lighter lb rated rear springs. I am very happy with the kit. It works well as you can see. I just have a very light 2 door, and I think it keeps the rear springs from having the uptravel that I am wanting.

I am pretty sure that "the problem" is that I am wanting a softer spring in the rear that compresses easier under level conditions. I just wanted to make sure that I am not missing something else that is causing the jeep to lose upward travel in the rear. Make sense?

i think redneck is right. the springs are in sense pushing the body/frame up. if the weight of the body/frame are not heavy they will not, in a sense, push bac. mabe a poor explination but i think it might do the trick

I wouldn't mess with it. If you get it like "you" want it as far as compression....you will likely be compromising something else.

Same boat buddy, I'm thinking of trying disconnecting the rear sway bar but I hear it can be scary on the road lol. I'll be putting on the evo rock star skids those are supposed to help. Tri link would help too...depends how far you wanna take it. My friends leaf sprung 'yota has more droop in the rear than mine...granted he has a sweet setup but still....their leafs!

Is there a different rating on the springs front to rear or for a 2dr versus a 4dr. Maybe bacwards or for a 4dr.

I really like my lift, but there is no difference between the 2 door and 4 door kit. I promise that my jeep doesn't weigh the same in the back as a 4 door hard top. I would like to try a lighter spring rate, I think that is all I need.

I wish that all these suspension guys didn't keep the spring rates a closely guarded trade secret. It isn't like the competitors can't go put the spring on a machine and test the rate. It just keeps us from knowing who is selling what. If anyone knows of a 3" spring that is made for a 2 door, or knows of a spring with a really light load rating that doesn't sag from being lighter I would like to hear about it. Thanks for all the replies so far.

It's the ramp dude....we have the same suspension and check it out. It's probably cause your jeeps ass is in the air. Go try again but skip the ramp and do some real trails and see how it performs, I bet it'll be better. On some of those my rear tire rubs on the bumper its stuffed so much.

ps I didn't mean to sound dick by like 'go try real trails', I just meant like real trail situations.
