Default Rear axel gearing question

I have. 08 jku with a factory rear E locker. I'm wanting to regear. I know this is a non rubie axel I have the window sticker and build sheet for my jeep. I know the rubies have a different gear size or something. My question is did Chrysler just throw a rubie axel in these jeep or are the truly a non rubicon locked axel? I guess my question is do I need a rubie gear set or a non rubie gear set for the rear?

That's a good question. There aren't many people who have that option on their non-Rbicon JK.

The best way to know for sure is take the cover off and look. If you do that, take a picture, and post it.

I'm just thinking its a rubie housing and all.

Surely Chrysler didnt go threw all the trouble to design 2 different housings, gears and axels for 1- fir the rubie and 1- for non - rubie rear locker option. But they've done crazier stuff!

What is the gear ratio listed on the build sheet?
I believe the Rubi gears are a lot thicker than the others.
Your best bet is to look at the gears and record the numbers.

Does the build sheet say Tru-lok dana 44 with 4.10 gears. If it does then they most likely used a rubicon axle.

Ok I dug out my build sheet and window sticker. The build sheet only showed the interior layout but. I think I hit the jackpot on the window sticker notice in the second picture it said. tru-trac (R). I hoping the (R) means rubicon!!!!! The first picture is standard equipment and the second is the optional equipment mine is equipped with.
