Default Really need input on regearing.

I can't decide between 3.73s and 4.10s. I have a six speed, live in mountains, looking at 33's or 34's and this is my DD. Gas mileage is a major concern, but so is driveability. I have both sets of gears, so help me decide.

Go with the 4.10's.. It'll give you more power going up the hills. I'm running 4.56's with 35's on my 2012 and it's perfect! I had 3.21 with 32's and I found myself down shifting on every hill.. Hope this helps

Decide on the specific tire size before you commit to the regear.

If you are like a whole lot of us, you will find that a 33/34 isn't big enough, and will end up with 35's. Which means you will spend another 1-2 grand for a second gear swap.

Neither ... 4.56 or 4.88 .... What's the sense of blowing all that $$ and barely noticing the difference .... 4.56 will cover 33-35 .... 4.88 if you are definitely going with 35's someday.

I'm running the factory 4:10 right now. I'm thinking of going with the 4:56 w/ 33's.

With a manual.....minimum for "34's" (really 35's), is 4.88. Otherwise, like others have said, you won't be happy.

If you already have both 373's and 410's definitely go 410's. I can understand that you wouldn't want to spend money on other gear ratios. But, if you could either sell the ones you have or exchange them then you will find that you can't beat 456 or 488"s. If you run 33's 456's would be perfect, (IMO).. 488's are the most common with 35's and a 6sp manual. Great power and pretty good mileage on both set ups mentioned.

What kind of gas mileage can I expect from 410 vs. 456 if I stick with 33s?

Like I said, I'm running the OEM 4.10 w/ 245/75r16's ( 30" ). I'm getting around 14mpg. So 33's will be less.

You will find 6th gear more effective with 456's. You won't downshift as much on slight inclines and your foot will not be as deep on the skinny pedal. I personally think you might get slightly better mileage with 456's. And you will be happier with the power.
