Really need advice
Im 100% doing a Chevy LS swap but I have the opportunity to get a built 5.3 with around 400hp. Or I could buy a stock 6.2 which does the same. Im just worried about making the wrong choice so y'all's input would be awesome!

Try calling Bruiser Conversions. I believe they do a lot of LS swaps and could probably offer you some better advice.

whats the weight difference? I'd like to think the 6.2 will provide better torque and be more reliable as its stock, but a 5.3 with just a cam and tune should be plenty reliable as well. Tough call.

The shop that is doing my install just pulled it out to put in a 6.2 and he is selling for 2500 and the trans with 8,000 mile for 2500. The 6.2 is super expensive from a pull out and you have no idea how well taken care of it was so its a gamble. But he pulled this one apart and put a 40hp+ cam in it along with other upgrade to increase its rpm range and power. For the price and knowing its a solid motor its hard justifying getting a 6.2 for 4000-6000$ for just the motor when has a built 5.3 sitting there for cheaper than i can buy a junk yard 5.3. It also an aluminum 5.3 which makes it that much better.

I have also considered trading it in for the new 3.6 with the new interior and that's always an option but I think the old interior and a v8 would be way better than the new 3.6 with a supper charger or am i just bias cause that v8 sounds so good!!! too many choices and i need to make a decision by this next week.
