Really Dumb Tyre/Lift/Spacer Question!
After searching on the forum for three hours I still haven't found the answer to my question!
I want to upgrade from the 255/75R17 Goodyear Slient Armours (we don't get the BFG muddies on our Rubicon's here in Aust) to a 265/70R17 Mickey Thompson MTZ on my stock Rubicon rim.
Do I need a lift and/or wheel spacers or nothing???
Thanks!

The tire height would be 31.606" so I don't think a lift would be necessary. That tire is only a little wider so I don't think wheel spacers would be needed.
I'm far from an expert but I think I'm right.

If that is the case I am actually going smaller as I thought the original tyres were 32'. (Not what intended to do)
The next size up in these tyres are 33x12.5R17LT.
I believe that I do need spacers for this size but a lift?

Spacers would be needed for that size.
As far as a lift goes, some are running them without, some with a 3/4" front spacers, and others with 2-2.5" lifts. I guess it all comes down to how much off-roading you plan to do. I plan on running 33's eventually and pieced together a 1" lift using TeraFlex front and rear leveling spacers along with the Skyjacker 3/4" front spacers (which I all ready had) to level it out.

Having said that, you could run 33's but I would recommend a 2" BB as you will get rubbing on the trail.
