Not to burst your bubble or anything, but Superior shut down. And even before they closed, their 'JK' gears were coming out of Asia just like everyone elses. (I think the only exception was Richmond, who was supposedly making some JK gears in a US for a short time?)

If i understand correctly , the g2s are made in spain. A 4x4 fabricator told me that. Who knows. Its all overseas now, keeps prices down and company biggies with big bonuses

4.88 for the win Would not go any lower (5.13 etc) especially on a 6spd. We just got 4.88s put in our 2010 JK and it's much better than 3.21 of course, but now we need 37s to lower the RPM a bit haha
And like others have mentioned, just go through the installer and use whatever gears they stock. They all come from the same place these days.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
You might think I'm crazy but I'm going to do the gear change and differential overhauls myself.
My Jeep is a 2010 Unlimited Sahara with automatic and 55k miles. The OD on the automatic runs lower RPMs than the stick.
The cost to get it done by my local axle shop or a national shop 30 miles away are both around $1,800. My dealer says $1,600 just for labor plus $800 for parts. I found the gears for front and back plus master overhaul kits for $600. It's a Motive package from Rusty's. The bearings are Timken. Looks like good quality stuff.
She's not my daily driver so I can take my time, which I have read is the secret to setting the gears right.
Wish me luck!
BTW - I have access to a portable back-scatter metal analyzer. I WILL be doing an alloy analysis before installing. If the metal isn't 8620 as advertised it goes back (to Italy).

However the shifting of the gears are horrible in the sense that the car will not shift from 3rd to 4th gear unless i am on the red line and doing 110 miles an hour.
It just docent sound and feel good the shifting points.
However if driving it really slow the gears seem to have good shifting points.
When driving normally i can never get to 5th gear, i have to let go of the accelerator and then after pressing it again it will shift.
Anyone has experienced this?
I have ordered a ProCal from AEV to see if it makes a difference.

Is yours auto or 6sp? I am on the fence between 4.88 and 5.13.
