Re-gear pricing
I live in Ct and wanted to do a re-gear on my 2011 JKU. I was qouted $1500.00 from a well respected lift manufacturer in Waterbury. This would include all parts and labor. Does this sound about right price wise? I've read here that it should cost less than that by quite a bit. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah definatley! These guys are hardcore and know what they are doing. I noticed most dealers have said they wouldn't even reccomend regearing and won't perform the work for some reason?

I live in CT and am also regearing. Going next Thursday to have it done in Glastonbury. $1500 seems low to be honest. Gears, the install kits and the carrier for the front (assuming you have a Dana 30) run about $850 for Yukons. Then figure 5-6 hours per axle. Reasonable price would be $2100-2400 for labor and materials. Even the jeep dealer in Hartford quoted me 10hrs at $100 per hour for install. The guy that does all the work on my vehicles (rich from Truck Toyz in colchester) had his 2011 done three weeks ago by the guy I'm going to. Should be $2100 out the door.
