i would go with the long arm kit as they would give you instant gratificatoin that you can see and feel. so long as you can keep off the skinny pedal, your axle shafts should last a while. replace them when you need to

Do the long arm. You will notice the difference immediately on and off road. When I went from a standard 4" lift to the long arm the difference was night and day. The long arm kit really smoothed out the ride. Far less harsh on the trails and on road I would say better than stock.

As for the shafts, run them til they break. The D44 axles you have are pretty good and should last you a while.

X2 After two years im still running my stock front passenger side axle(knock on wood). Like Eddie says go easy on the skinny pedal and they should last a while. Thanks for your interests in our products

I would need to know what size of tires you are or want to run. I agree that a long arm will give you immediate gratification but, depending on tire size, RCV shafts will help ensure you get off the the trail and back home safe. I need more info.
