Default RC 4" lift and ride quality.

I am currently running the RC 4" lift and 2.2 shocks. The ride quality to me is somewhat stiff, especially in the rear. My question is, what change in ride quality might I see by installing the LT OME shocks and keeping the RC coils? I would rather not spend $360 on shocks and not see a noticable difference.

Any experience or advice would be much appreciated.

Not much that I could think of. Your springs are the major component to the stiffness.
What suspension did you have before? I had the Rubicon/heavy duty springs and shocks, and to me the RC is about the same.

The 2.2 shocks are very nice shocks it's not them it's the springs that are stiffer. If you just installed it I would drive it a while as the springs will get a little less stiff after some time. I would also check your tire pressure, my tire shop had them set a 40 psi and I lowered them to 28 psi. I thought the stock suspension was to soft and like how it stiffened the suspension up. I think it would be way to tippy with a 4" lift and suspension as soft as stock.

I was running stock X suspension prior to the lift. The front seems fine, but the rear is pretty rigid. It almost seems like I might have gotten Unlimited springs instead of the 2dr springs.

I doubt they have different springs for 2dr and unlim on the rough country lift... but I could be wrong.

I am currently running 30psi in my KM2's. I will go down to 28 psi and see if there is much difference. I definitely do not feel tippy with the set up I have now. Just looking for a little more comfort on the road.

I believe they do have different spring rates. They sent me a 4dr kit at first so I called them about it. They said that the difference in the two lifts were the rates. I shipped the coils back and they sent me out some for the 2dr. At least I hope they were for a two door.

If I was to change just the springs, which direction should I go in for a better ride quality? I would like to stay with the 4" lift.

Northridge sells teraflex springs. you could use their 3" spring it will give you 4".
