Default RC 2.5 Question

Has anyone heard of a Rough Country 2.5 lift springs becoming loose/disconnected while being disconnected at the sway bar and running the 2.2 shocks? I was just thinking the other day that I had seen many kits that come with spacers and without but run the same shock. I want to run disconnected on my next trail ride but I am worried that I could loose a spring.

You should be all right. But if your really worried , You could talk to Dave at NorthRidge 4X4 , he can set you up with something to keep the spring's in place so they don't turn on their seat's..

RC 3.25" lift on my JK and never had a problem. But as mentioned above, Dave can hook you up with some piece of mind.

I've run the 2.5 for a while, and recently with ome shocks and never a problem. I do check before I head home just in case, but I have not had a problem. I don't believe the shock extends far enough to let the spring out.

I ran it as a 3.25" (3/4" spacers) and never had a problem.

But, if you haven't yet, you should add some bumpstops.

Yeah, I am getting some bumpstops. It has really performed well. I think I am going to run a spacer on it as well. I had some pucker moments last time riding that could have been avoided if I had been disco-ed.

I need longer bumpstops for my 3.25. What are you guys doing for the bumpstops?

Or ordered TF for the rear and I heard hockey pucks work great for the front, and I already have holes drilled in the ?lower coil perch? so that's my plan.
