Default Rattle under the Jeep

I have a 4 door 2014 sport and have (for a while) been hearing an annoying rattle that seems like it's coming from exactly where the transmission is (so basically square in the middle of the undercarriage). It's more pronounced after I took the carpets out so idk if it is some heat shields i can't see or if something inside the transmission is loose. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had a rattle at exactly 2000 rpm. Was a cracked weld on the exhaust heat shield. Fixed with a large hose clamp

When I first started hearing it a couple months ago, that's what I initially thought but that ended up being fixed by an upgrade of the muffler. So unbeknownst to me, I had two rattles that would be triggered around the same RPM level (between 1000-2000)

Tagging along...... I have a similar annoying rattle that happens right at 1200 rpm. It's my daily driver and while sitting in city traffic it is REALLY annoying! Not really sure where to look for a potential heat shield rattle.

'09 JKU with the exhaust slightly touching the cross member at idle causes the rattle I have. I have bent the bar down a bit and it fixes it until the next time I drop the Jeep on a rock.

I had the flimsy heat shield above the muffler corrode around 2 mounting holes and get loose, causing an annoying rattle... its an easy one to check. fixed it with new nuts and fender washers.

If it isn't too much trouble can you snap a pic of where you did the repair? I have a 2013 and it has an annoying rattle and I'm certain it's what you guys are describing.

08 that had a tinny rattle. Isolated to the rear, turned out to be the heat shield above the muffler, one weld had broken and the shield was sitting on the muffler just a buzzing away. A bolt, few washers and some lock tight all good.

The rattle in the rear part are usually either from the heat shield or something lose inside the muffler (typically on the stock muffler), I've learned from experience and reading all around to find a solution. The current rattle I have is directly in the center of the underbelly, right where the transmission or primary muffler are. It gets loud at like 1300 - 1500 RPM, very annoying and dealership denies hearing it
