Default Rancho Steering Stabilizer Bracket needed?

So, I took my jeep to the shop today because of the infamous death wobble that kept on happening after I did the washer mod on my track bar mounts. Turns out I had a bad tie rod and a bad Rancho stabilizer shock too. The shock was flimsy. I told the guy that this is the 3rd Stabilizer shock that gives out on me. He said that it was because the shock was slanted when its mounted where the OEM one goes. He said it needs to be mounted on the Rancho Bracket that they sell so my shock can work properly. So, do i really need the bracket??

Nevermind... I went out to my jeep right now to look at that extra bolt looking thing and found it isn't for a Jk rather to use on a TJ style jeep where the shock mounts to the draglink
