Default Rancho shocks 9000 Adjustable vs Teraflex 9550 ADVICE PLEASE

Guys,

I drove a JK with rancho shock 9000 adjustables and the ride was significant smoother in comparison with my lift which have the TF 3" lift kit with 9550 TF shock.

Have anyone tested these shocks? Seems the they provide better confort. Feedback will be appreciatted......

you need to remember that the rancho's are adjustable and so, you can set it to how you like it. i've run both shocks on the same rig and of the two shocks, i would probably recommend the rancho's because of this but if there's a downside, it's that what feels good on pavement doesn't feel good on the trail and, making the adjustment for each is a pain. maybe if i had the in cab controller, it wouldn't have been so bad.

btw, rancho has a new monotube shock coming out and, i might wait to see how it performs.

I've struggled with my Rancho adjustables. I can't seem to figure out what setting I really like. When I had the jeep packed up heavy for a weekend among and wheeling trip it was nice to crank them up to nine but then I left them at that level and do t think it worked real well, especially off camber.

I'd love to hear what some are using for settings off road.

It all depends on what you want really. I run them on my personal YJ and the work JK lower (3ish), but the sales guys crank it up to 7ish when they used it, but I like the softer ride off and on road, a lot run them right where you are as well off roading.
