i ALMOST got the carrier for the price/simplified look but later thought it had the tire too "far" out the back which to me looked weird.

That is what I was pretty much told as well when I asked.

It is nice being able to store the Hi-lift back there, I (personally) am not a big fan of some who mount their jack on the hood.

I have had both the "old style" and the new. I enjoyed both with no rattle. Still running the newer one on my jk. Can't go wrong on the price for either!

Nice.
I have this one on my 13. At first I thought I had a nasty rattle.... I did it was my son's t-ball bats clanking around in the gear bag.

It would be nice if rancho got on the band wagon like they said in their pm and provide a dealer locator that's updated. I live in ontario , Canada. We have 12 million ppl living in the province yet there is really nothing available for rancho products or no outlets.

I run the old style with a 37 km2 I have wheeled for two years, and this thing has taken a beating. No rattles from it at all. My hi lift rattles a bit is all. At one point I thought I was going over backwards and it stopped me. I even got rearended by a guy doing 30 and I was stopped, with no damage.
