Default Rails or Rocker Guards

Ok I'm not sure the difference of these two things. Can someone explain or are they the same thing? I have 450 bucks left for christmas for tweaking the jeep and It's not enough for a stubby bumper with shiping so now I'm thinking of taking the stock steps off and upgrading with Nerf rocker gaurds.

Anyone that can explain this to a newbie it will be appreciated.

Default rock rails

I think these are the same things... or people interchange the wording, but mean the same thing. I would definetly recommend the rock rails or "sliders". they will protect your rocker pannels as well as keeping you off of some obsticles. My Shrockworks rock rails keept a pine tree from stoving in my driverside door as I slide into it sideways trying to climb a rock face.

I don't have an answer to your question, but have you looked at this bumper at Northridge 4x4?

They are doing free shipping on any order over $100, so for $20 of your own cash you'd be set! There is also this one for $10 more than the PJ.

Just a thought...
