Rack system
#11
I have a Kargo Marter's Congo Cage modified to fit the "easy access to soft top" requirement. Basically, I moved the two longitudinal bars to the side so now it's possible to open and close the soft top without the need for tilting the rack backwards.
Now the two longitudinal bars also work as a shield to protect the roof's edges from branches that before would scratch and mar the roof on tight trails.
It works on a similar way to the Body Armor rack. However, the Kargo Master specs are more robust and there's no need to drill the Jeep's body or cut the bumper.
One piece of advice is to check the rack's height against the soft top. The Congo Cage, as well as many other brands, do not allow for running the soft top on the Sun Rider mode. It's all opened or closed. That's another reason I modified mine.
I'm curious to see LoD's rack. I have their bumper and love it. The rack should be a fine product if it follows the company's tradition.
